February Newsletter

Dear Readers!

February is almost done and naturally I left it till the end of the month to send my newsletter but I finally sent the revised "Battle of the Iron Gates" off to my editor at the beginning of the month, where it ended up being just shy of 70,000 words—around 250 pages, give or take.

There were a few revelations that came out of the revision process, particularly regarding the third book and the motivations behind the climax. I finally managed to come up with something that makes sense and planted those seeds in this book.

I think most of all, I'm super happy with how it turned out. I learned a lot about writing during this process and feel like this version is so much better than it was originally.

I had hoped to start on Part 2 of "Fall from Grace" by now, but the revision of Part 1 needed some fine-tuning and turned out to be a lot more political than I expected. Think Game of Thrones style, but with an excessive amount of magic and nature's fury thrown in!

Personal Update

Our move to the States has been slowed down due to the visa centre taking their time with my Green Card. Otherwise, life is returning somewhat to our "normal," with our little one (almost 5 months old now) being increasingly giggly and smiley. Sometimes quite vocal, too!

This was particularly evident during the set of my wife's art gallery. While we were hanging her artwork, he was being the life of the party, making sure everyone knew he was there!

Here's a link to the gallery featuring her artwork: Mary's Art Gallery It's a fun play on Australian animals that I recommend you check out!

Until next month, I hope you're staying awesome!
